My heart’s not a beautiful one - not even close. It’s been torn apart, dropped, beaten, and misused beyond repair. It’s held together by hope and reason and tape and super glue. It’s been pieced together by hand and covered with scars and scars and scars. It’s not the nicest heart you’ve ever seen, but I promise that it still beats strong. Through all the misuse and mishandling, it still beats strong. It persists and recovers. My heart is resilient, but even then, it’s still delicate.
